They should be united: MLA
Foundation stone for auditorium laid in Bhatkal
J.D. Naik gives Rs. 5 lakh for auditorium
Karwar: If the facilities provided by the Government to the common man are to reach the latter, then people’s representatives should work in a united manner, said J.D. Naik, MLA from Bhatkal.
He was addressing government servants after laying the foundation stone for an auditorium of the government servants association in Bhatkal on Thursday.
The MLA had contributed Rs. 5 lakh to the auditorium from his development fund. Mr. Naik said he hoped that the money granted by him would be used for the purpose it was meant for.
L. Bairappa, State president of the association, said that government servants should respond to the needs of the common man when the latter visited government offices hoping that his work would be done in time.
He said that the association too had placed many demands before the Government and urged the people’s representatives to solve the problems being faced by government servants by bringing pressure on the Government. He thanked Mr. Naik for sanctioning funds for the auditorium.
Office-bearers of the association participated in the programme.
