The minority wing of the Karnataka State Siddaramaiah Abhimanigala Balaga, on Monday, welcomed the decision of the State government to grant a sum of Rs. 50,000 to women belonging to minority communities under the ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ scheme, calling it the government’s ‘Deepavali gift’

Members of the minority community would remain grateful to the Chief Minister, who had come out with such a generous offer to women from minority communities who would benefit immensely from it, a press statement received here said. Minority community members would always stand behind Mr. Siddaramaiah and the Congress.

Members of the minority groups celebrated Deepavali by distributing sweets and bursting crackers to celebrate the government gesture, the release added.
