The Bharatiya Janata Party is commencing the review of performance of its Ministers on Friday. The review will be done by Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and top party leaders, including State unit president K.S. Eshwarappa and national general secretary H.N. Ananth Kumar.

The review has triggered anxiety among a few Ministers in the wake of the Chief Minister indicating that five to six non-performing Ministers would be dropped from the Cabinet. It is not clear whether the review would go into details of individual departments as all the Ministers will be present at the review.

The meeting of Ministers is also expected to hold deliberations on good governance, taking a cue from the conference on good governance recently hosted by BJP national president Nitin Gadkari for the Chief Ministers in BJP-ruled States.

The best practices and schemes taken up by some Ministers in their departments are expected to be deliberated upon. Also, the Ministers are likely to be given instructions regarding working from their offices at Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha at least for two days in a week. Issues related to co-ordination between the party and the government are expected to come up for discussion.
