BELLARY: The City Municipal Corporation accorded a public felicitation to Revenue Minister G. Karunakar Reddy, Tourism Minister G. Janardhan Reddy and Health Minister B. Sriramulu and legislators G. Somashekar Reddy, B. Nagendra and T.H.Suresh Babu on Monday evening.

Mayor Shobha Narayan, who felicitated them, submitted a Rs. 235-crore action plan prepared by the corporation for infrastructure development in the city.

She appealed to the Ministers and the legislators to get the required funds from the Government and other institutions. The action plan include laying of roads (Rs. 55.59 crore); construction of storm water drains (Rs. 10.40 crore) and footpaths (Rs. 15.68 crores); development of new extension areas (Rs. 22.65 crore); solid waste management (Rs. 9.10 crore); development of parks (Rs. 9.80 crore); erection of high mast lights (Rs. 3.55 crore) and street lights (Rs. 3.55 crore).

The Ministers promised to look into the matter and do their best in getting the funds needed.

Pushparekha Padmanabh, president of the zilla panchayat, was among those who attended the function.
