BANGALORE: MSPL Limited, a mining company, has alleged that the Obalapuram Mining Company owned, among others, by the Minister for Tourism and Infrastructure Development B. Janardhan Reddy, is indulging in illegal mining in Bellary district in violation of the orders of the Karnataka High Court.

Addressing presspersons here on Sunday, Meda Venkatiah, executive director, MSPL Limited, alleged that there was breakdown in the State administrative machinery, and Mr. Janardhan Reddy, who is also Bellary district in-charge Minister, had least respect for the laws of the State.

Encroachment charge

The Obalapuram Mining Company has encroached upon mining areas of MSPL and was illegally carrying out mining and the money earned therein was being used to fund candidates in the Lok Sabha elections, he alleged.
