Minister in charge of Mysore district S.A. Ramdas, on Saturday, ordered the suspension of the Chief Administrative Officer, an engineer and a clerk of the Nanjangud Municipal Council, after he noticed “anomalies” during his surprise visit to the council office at Nanjangud, near here.

The Minister was infuriated when he did not get convincing replies from the officers on queries pertaining to administrative matters, tax recovery and implementation of funds under the Chief Minister's special grant.

He was also reportedly upset over “improper documentation”.

He checked the attendance register and found the “unauthorised” absence of 12 persons.

Mr. Ramdas then ordered the suspension of Chief Administrative Officer V. Ramaswamy, engineer Kumar and clerk Kuppuraj.
