Mysore: The All India Archaeological Service Association (AIASA) will hold its 25th All India Convention on June 6 and 7 at the Mysore Medical College Alumni Association, J.K. Grounds. About 1,500 members of the central working committee and delegates from across the country will take part in the meet.

Joint Director General of Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi, D.R. Gehlot will inaugurate and the former Director General ASI, Mysore, M.S. Nagaraja Rao will preside over the convention. MLA H.S. Shankaralinge Gowda will be the chief guest.

The New Central Working Committee of AIASA will be elected for the two-year term in this convention and discuss problems and demands of the ASI staff. One of their demands is to lift ban on recruitment to new posts.
