‘Government has agreed to hike salary of all workers’

H.V. Ananthasubba Rao, general secretary of the State unit of the All- India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), has said that the State government has convened a meeting on November 16 to discuss the 42 demands of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation employees. He exuded confidence about the government conceding a majority of demands.

“However, if the government does not concede the demands , the KSRTC employees will have no other way but launching an agitation again,” he said.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mr. Rao said that the government had already agreed to enhance the basic pay by 10 per cent.
