Vice Chancellor of Kuvempu University S.A. Bari said Registrar of Evaluation of the University H.S. Bhoja Naik has been directed to visit Bellary to conduct a probe and furnish a report on the malpractices reported during Wednesday’s examinations for second-year post-graduation distance education courses.

The examinations of Kuvempu University were held at Sharabeshwara College in Bellary.

“If the allegations of copying are true, stern action will be initiated against those who are involved in it and against those who have promoted it. If the involvement of personnel of study centre in the malpractices is proved, the university would cancel its recognition,” Prof. Bari told The Hindu over telephone.

Registrar Mr. Naik said the Assistant Commissioner of Bellary and local Tahshildar sent a letter to the university on the malpractices that took place there on Wednesday.
