MYSORE: The district administration of Mysore has withdrawn the ban on the use of loudspeakers by the political parties and candidates contesting the elections. It had imposed the ban with effect from Monday after a consensus was arrived at during the meeting of the representatives of the political parties. However, it had allowed loudspeakers in election rallies. Deputy Director of Information A.R. Prakash told presspersons here that the administration decided to withdraw the ban after the political parties requested a revoking of the order. — Staff Correspondent
