BANGALORE: Lorry owners in the State will launch an indefinite strike to pressure the State Government to abolish entry tax and reduce sales tax on petrol and diesel.

Federation of Karnataka State Lorry Owners and Agents Associations president G.R. Shanmughappa, in a release, said the date will be decided after the All India Motor Transport Congress emergency meeting to be held on June 7. Mr. Shanmugappa said the State Government lacked the moral right to blame the Centre for the fuel price hike as the taxes levied in the State were the highest in the country.
