A 3,000-km car rally is formidable enough. But a 3,000-km cycle expedition? That is what the Territorial Army has embarked upon and its expedition across the southern States was flagged off here on Wednesday by Major General A.K. Pradhan, General Officer Commanding of Karnataka and Kerala Sub-Area.

The expedition is being organised by Territorial Army Group Headquarters Southern Command and Directorate of Territorial Army as part of Trans India Cycle Expedition to commemorate its 61st Raising Day. The 11-member team, comprising one junior commissioned officer and 10 other ranks, will cover 35 districts in 43 days.
