Ganesh says he has lodged three complaints in this regard

Tapal Ganesh, mine lessee, has appealed to the newly appointed Lokayukta, Y. Bhaskar Rao, to initiate a probe into complaints he had lodged on illegal mining by Obulapuram Mining Company, owned by mining baron G. Janardhan Reddy, officials conniving with Mr. Reddy and other mine lessees, and illegal transportation of iron ore.

“All my charges related to illegal mining by Mr. Reddy, illegal transportation of iron ore by him, threatening mine lessees in Bellary district to enter into an agreement and the like, have been mentioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its charge sheet filed with the special court in Hyderabad. In this background, Mr. Rao should order a thorough probe into the complaints and bring the guilty to book,” he said at a press conference here on Thursday.
