Lively lecdems at musicians' meet

The ongoing Karnataka Gana Kala Parishat's 42{+n}{+d}Annual Musicians' Conference at Bangalore Gayana Samaja, K.R. Road, Basavanagudi, will flag off its morning sessions, Vidwat Goshti, at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

On the occasion, the Parishat's website will be launched by S.C. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Tumkur University.

Says Parishat President R.K. Padmanabha: “Our intellectual sessions in melody are been a part of our musicians' conference for decades.”

They encourage young talent too as we invite music college students for the prayer sessions, serious practitioners to talk and demonstrate on various facets of music, he added.

This year's Ganakala Bhushana award will be conferred on R. A. Ramamani and the Ganakalashree on A.S.N. Swamy during the conference, which ends on September 25.
