A local court has held 15 persons guilty of killing three persons at Naduvinahalli in Gulbarga taluk two years ago and sentenced them for life imprisonment, while acquitting two others for lack of evidence.

Shreeshananda, judge of the first additional district sessions court who heard the case, also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 each on the 15 convicted persons.

The Farthabad police had registered a case in 2008 against a group of 17 persons for hacking to death a person called Yallppa, his son Kantappa and his grandson Pandit over a long-standing property dispute. — Staff Correspondent
