The Mysore Grahakara Parishat recently conducted a lecture-demonstration on detection of food adulteration in Mysore, Mandya and Kodagu districts.

Under the direction of C.V. Nagaraj (former senior chemist, Regional Agmark Laboratory, Bangalore), students conducted simple tests to detect adulteration in various food items. Mr. Nagaraj also spoke about the harmful effects of various types of adulteration, and the laws that exist in India against food adulteration. Contact C.V. Nagaraj on 2521640.
