The Mysore rural division of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to streamline the system of remitting the day's collections in the bank and requested the Central office in Bangalore for posting a armed security guard to Mysore for accompanying the employees while depositing cash. Divisional Controller (rural division) Prakash said the nationalised bank has been requested to send their staff members to collect cash instead of KSRTC personnel going to the bank to deposit it. Nearly Rs 56 lakh is collected in a day from six depots coming under the KSRTC Mysore rural division. Normally, the day's collection is remitted the next day in the bank, he said.
