KSLU contest gets an overwhelming response

Students from 110 colleges take part in the State-level quiz

The State-level quiz competition ‘EnQuesta’ hosted by the Karnataka State Law University received an overwhelming response with students from 110 colleges from across Karnataka participating in it on Monday.

In the quiz, which was held separately for law and non-law degree colleges, intense competition was witnessed and ultimately it was students from Hubli and Bangalore who emerged winners in the non-law and law college categories.

Imran Hamigi and Divya Sharma from the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubli, won the quiz in the non-law category, and Dhananjay Kamat and Dhaval Singala of BVB College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli, bagged the second prize.

In the law category, Siddharth Dubey and Prashant Kumar Mishra from M.S. Ramaiah College of Law, Bangalore, won the first prize while Avinash Angadi and Parasappa from Karnatak University’s Sir Siddappa Kambali Law College, Dharwad, won the second prize.

The winners took home cash prize of Rs. 5,000, trophy and certificates while the runners-up got cash prize of Rs. 2,500, trophies and certificates.

Earlier, KSLU Vice-Chancellor T.R. Subramanya inaugurated it. Speaking on the occasion, he said that dissemination of knowledge was need of the hour. General general knowledge is an essential ingredient of studies and one should make efforts to acquire as much knowledge as possible, he added.

KSLU Registrar Subash Malkhede, Director and Registrar (Evaluation) B.S. Reddy, Registrar and chairperson of the organising committee Shashirekha Malgi, organising secretary Shanel Punnoose, and joint secretary Pranusha Kulkarni spoke.

It is for the first time that KSLU hosted such a contest, and students had organised it.
