Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association (KSCAA) will organise its silver jubilee conference on Saturday and Sunday at the Jnana Jyothi Convention Centre here.

Addressing a press conference here, C.R. Dhavalagi, vice-president of the association, said that the theme of the annual conference is “Jnanotsava: Know the New, Think New”.

He said that the conference is structured to help the chartered accountant to identify his core competence and also assist him to consolidate and leverage his professional strength. “Apart from that we will discuss new developments in the field to meet the emerging challenges. We will also discuss the Companies Bill 2012,” he said.

There is a need for discussion on what the Bill means for auditors and directors,” he added.

Mr. Dhavalagi pointed out that the conference would be useful for chartered accountants, company secretariats, tax practitioners, advocates, accounting professionals, finance consultants, analysts, advisors, executives of the industry and CA students.

The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar.
