Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson L. Hanumanthaiah on Thursday demanded that Primary and Secondary Education Minister Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri resign taking responsibility for the question paper leak in the Department of Pre University and what he said “saffronisation” of the 5th and 8th standard social studies textbooks. Speaking to presspersons here, he said that the Minister was not heeding the advice of academics who were opposed to introducing Hindutva agenda in the 5{+t}{+h}and 8{+t}{+h}standard social studies textbooks. He demanded that Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda dismiss Mr. Hegde from the Ministry, if he failed to quit owning responsibility for the serious lapses in his department.
