“Kodagu Shale”, a school to be built out of the donations given by the people of Kodagu to help flood-affected in northern parts of the State, will come up at Inamboodihal village in Bagalkot district soon. The foundation stone was laid by the Minister for Primary and Higher Education Minister, Vishveshwara Hegade Kageri recently. A sum of Rs. 15.5 lakh was collected by the Shakti Patrika Pratishtana here during the crisis, G. Chidvilas, general manager of the Shakti Kannada daily published from here said on Thursday.

The Shakti Patrika Pratishtana had handed over the donations to Seva Bharati Trust in Bagalkot to build the school, Mr. Chidvilas said.
