Bangalore: The Government on Wednesday issued the order permitting the BDA to form Kempe Gowda Layout at a cost of Rs. 2,639 crore.

The order follows the approval given to the project by the State Executive Committee at its recent meeting.

In a press release here on Friday, the BDA said the Government permitted it to acquire 4,814 acres and 15 guntas of land spread over Kommaghatta, Ramasandra, Challaghatta, Krishnasagara, Bheemanakuppe, Ramasagara, Sulikere and Kenchanapura in Kengeri hobli and Sheegehalli, Kannahalli, Kodigehalli and Manganahalli in Yeshwantpur hobli.
