Here is a chance to admire the monuments of Hampi and the landscapes of Mysore and Shivasamudram through the eyes of eminent cartoonist Mario Miranda.

Basavaraj, Secretary, Information Department, and Kannada and Culture Department; N.R. Vishukumar, Director, Information Department and former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad inaugurated an exhibition of Mario’s works here on Saturday.

The exhibition, ‘Mario’s Karnataka’ comprise mainly pen sketches, that took shape in the 1970s when Mario travelled extensively across Karnataka. Sketches of several places of tourist importance have been displayed. There are also portraits on display, including one of renowned writer and poet Kuvempu.

The exhibition is on till February 9 at Indian Cartoon Gallery, No. 1, Midford House, Midford Garden, off M.G. Road.
