MANGALORE: Kalbavi Prakash Rao has been re-elected as president of Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers Association at the 52nd annual general meeting of the association here for the fourth term.

A KCMA press release on Saturday stated that D. Gopalkrishna Kamath of Mangalore Cashew Industries, Siddapur was elected as vice–president. Other office-bearers are: B. Rahul Kamath of Bola Raghavendra Kamath and Sons, Karkala, secretary; Krishnananth P. Mallar of Mallar Exports Private Limited, Mangalore, treasurer; and K. Pramod Kamath of K.S.A Kamath and Sons, Kasargod, joint secretary.

Members, K. Sudhakar Kamath; Rajaram Bhat; P. Subraya Pai; Kiran Kumar Kodgi; H. Radhakrishna Nayak; M. Manjunath Prabhu; B. Rohidas Pai; K. Ganesh Kamath; Santhosh D’Silva; K.S. Balram; D. Gopinath Kamath, and Yogish Mallya were elected to the managing committee of the association.

All-India convention

The meeting stressed the need to chalk out the future strategy. It was decided to conduct All- India Cashew Convention in February 2008.
