Dakshina Kannada District Amateur Kabaddi Association has organised district-level kabaddi competitions for students at Nehru Maidan on January 24. About 100 teams are expected to participate in the competitions. There will be four prizes. Complaints

Lokayukta officials will receive complaints from people at the government guest house, Belthangady, on January 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The officials will be present at the guest house at Bantwal from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on the same day. They will receive complaints at Moodbidri guest house on January 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. People can submit complaints at Sullia guest house on January 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at Puttur guest house from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the same day, an official release said. — Special Correspondent

Power shutdown

There will be no power supply to some areas of Udupi district on January 23, 25 and 26 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The areas are Udur, Atrady, Nagaramakki, Kadke and Goliberu. The power cut is because of the maintenance work to be undertaken at Shiroor power feeder, a MESCOM release said.
