Effigies of D.K. Shivakumar and Janardhan Reddy set on fire

HUBLI: Members of the Janata Dal (Secular) took out a procession here on Monday in protest against what they termed as "false information campaign" being carried out by the Congress.

The procession began from the Basava Vana and concluded at the Tahsildar's office after passing through the Kittur Channamma Circle.

Effigies set on fire

At the Kittur Channamma Circle, the protestors burnt the effigies of former Minister D.K. Shivakumar and BJP MLC Janardhan Reddy who have levelled charges against the Chief Minister and the Janata Dal (Secular) Ministers and legislators. Former Minister P.C. Siddanagoudar, Janata Dal (S) youth wing president Gururaj Hunasimarad, Prafullachandra Rayanagoudar, Shivanand Holehadagali, Rajanna Koravi and others took part in the procession.

Later, a memorandum addressed to the Governor was submitted to the Hubli Tahsildar.
