S.L. Bhoje Gowda, working president of the Janata Dal (Secular) district unit, has urged the Election Commission to revise the registration process of voters for the south-west graduates' and teachers' constituency.

He told presspersons here on Wednesday that many graduates in rural areas were unaware of the deadline of November 4 for registration. There were about 2 lakh graduates in this constituency which comprises Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada districts as well as Honnalli and Channagiri taluks in Davangere districts.

About 26,000 voters had been registered so far. Stressing the need for more publicity to enable voters to register themselves, he appealed to the Election Commission to extend the last date by two months .
