The Janata Dal (U) has called for a CBI probe into the issue of land denotification. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, party State unit president M.P. Nadagouda said that although the Government had ordered a judicial inquiry into the denotifications since 1994, it would be of no use as the report would be kept in cold storage. A CBI probe was the only the alternative, he said.

The JD(U) also sought dismissal of the Government and dissolution of the Assembly. “We demand early elections in view of the rampant corruption, poor administration and scandals,” he added.
