Bharatiya Janata Party’s key strategist Arun Jaitley arrived in Bangalore on Saturday night on a two-day visit to the State. Mr. Jaitley is in the city to take part in a convention of advocates being organised by the BJP on Sunday as part of its efforts to woo professionals ahead of the Assembly elections.

Mr. Jaitley met some of the prominent leaders of the party, including Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, Higher Education Minister C. T. Ravi and party State organising general secretary Santosh. Sources said, president of Karnataka State Cricket Association and former India captain Anil Kumble also called on Mr. Jaitley, who is a vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
