It was fun time for children, who had gathered from across the State for the Makkala Habba here, a State-level children‘s conference, organised by the Bharatiya Gyan Vigyan Samiti and other institutions.

Rangamandira, venue of the programme, was filled with laugher and chatter of children. They cheered the children who presented cultural performances on the stage and many of them also participated in several games and competitions.

Earlier, N. Vajramuni, organising committee secretary, said that Makkala Habba was a cultural exchange programme and not an academic exercise. About 400 children participated in the programme. He said the whole function was planned on the lines of youth festivals to help children explore the State and acquaint with different cultures.
