A few greetings in Kannada, a Tamil dialogue from his upcoming film Ra.One and a declaration of his love for Bangalore; that's all it took to melt the hearts of hundreds of Shahrukh fans, who had gathered in large numbers at the Royal Meenakshi Mall here on Bannerghatta Road.

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan did a total song and dance routine, dancing for and interacting with fans. Dancing to the hit number, “Chamak Challo”, and his older hit, “Chayya Chayya”, Shahrukh had the crowd yelling, screaming and begging for more. He was here to promote his film Ra.One, where he plays a romantic superhero.

Before the all-too-short public event, he interacted with media and fielded questions about his film, the costume and his interaction with Kareena Kapoor. “The costume was a challenge,” he said. “It was hot, and I lost around six kilograms just because of the stress of handling the costume and the heat,” he said.

Working with Tamil superstar Rajnikanth, Shahrukh said, was a “pleasure”. “He was sweet and humble. In fact, we did not know that he was going to shoot with us. So it was a pleasant surprise when he turned up on our sets and shot with us for some time.” A lot of the filming of scenes involving Rajnikanth were done in Chennai, and a body double was used, he added.
