After what residents of Padmaraj Nagar alleged as an encroachment by a private builder, the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation officials conducted a spot inspection on Wednesday.

In a release here on Thursday, HDMC Special Officer S.H. Naregal said that the Deputy Director of Planning and Assistant Commissioner of Zonal Office (No 7) of the corporation inspected the place on Wednesday.

Mr. Naregal has clarified that that the shed built by a private builder was not on the land earmarked for the park but on the land belonging to Gurappa H. Navalli, who owned four acres and 37 guntas of land in the locality.

He said that a marking stone had been installed to demarcate the park area.
