Oscar Fernandes, MP, on Saturday demanded that the Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa resign forthwith.

In an informal chat with presspersons at Mangalagangotri, Mangalore University, he said the surrender of land by the family of the Chief Minister was not the solution to the issue.

Mr. Fernandes said surrendering the land would not remove the taint on the Chief Minister.

The MP alleged that there had been many scams during the Yeddyurappa regime.

Mr. Fernandes was at the university to attend the inauguration session of a seminar on ‘B.R. Ambedkar and social justice.'
