BANGALORE: The doctors wing of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine in India (AAEMI) presented a symposium on “International Emergency Medicine and Disaster Preparedness” here on Monday.

K.K. Chandrappa, president, KPCC doctor wing, inaugurated the symposium.

He thanked Amernath.S. Lingappa, president, AAEMI, and his team for the support and services rendered.

He urged foreign delegates to extend support by means of such seminars, thereby paving way for quality emergency care.

D.K. Shivakumar, KPCC working president, felicitated international guest speakers. He congratulated Mr. Chandrappa and his team for taking up the responsibility of coordinating with the AAEMI and arranging the symposium.

Skills

He said the symposium should come up with specialisation of emergency medicine and hone the skills of personnel in attending emergency health situations.

Rani Satish, KPCC women’s wing president, Krishna and Byre Gowda, State Youth Congress president, were present.

John McCabe, S.V. Mahadevan, Sam Kini, Lalainia Secreti from the U.S. and V. Anantha Raman from Singapore were among the international guest speakers.
