Udupi: Former Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shobha Karandlaje said on Monday that she was not interested in any post in the Government.
To a question, she said: “The party provided me with an opportunity to serve the people as a Minister for one-and-a-half years. I am satisfied with whatever I could do as a Minister and the people are happy with my work. I will continue to work for society.” On K.S. Eshwarappa becoming president of the State BJP, she said Mr. Eshwarappa wasexperienced. He had taken charge at a crucial time.
“He has the onerous responsibility of taking the party and the Government with him,” she said. Mr. Eshwarappa would have to prepare the party for the forthcoming gram panchayat elections and the 2013 Assembly polls, she said.
