Around 21,000 students in the district will appear for the I PU examination beginning on Friday.

Deputy Director of Pre-university Education Ravindra Ritti said examinations would be conducted in 129 PU colleges in the district simultaneously. Separate taluk and district level vigilance squads have been formed to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations, he added.

Principals of colleges have been asked to collect question papers on the date of the exam. Five nodal centres have been established.

The Dharwad urban and rural colleges will get question papers from RLS PU College here, while the SSK PU College, Hubli will be the nodal centre for Hubli urban and rural colleges. Shri Harbhat PU College (Kundagol), Shankar PU College (Navalagund) and Good News College (Kalghatgi) will be the other nodal centres, Mr. Ritti said.
