Bangalore: The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) has said that actor Vishnuvardhan’s death has created a vacuum which cannot be filled.

President of KFCC Jaimala, who acted with Mr. Vishnuvardhan in a number of films, said, “the actor was a great artiste and human being par excellence. It is impossible for us to reconcile to this loss,” she added. KDA chairman and actor Mukhyamantri Chandru said the film industry had suffered a huge loss with the death of Mr. Vishnuvardhan.

N. Prabhu Dev, Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University, said the actor was given honorary doctorate by the university in the 41st convocation in 2006.

Union Minister for Labour M. Mallikarjun Kharge, Transport Minister R. Ashok, Legislative Council Chairman Veeranna Mathikati, Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Puttanna, KPCC president R.V. Deshpande, KPCC working president D.K. Shivakumar, State BJP president D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah, and Balagangadharanath Swamy of Adichunchanagiri Math condoled the death of the actor.
