Seventy-seven-year-old woman has finalised dinner
NAVALLI (Dharwad District): Sixty seven-year-old Allabi Chandusab Nadaf is the happiest among the villagers of Navalli as Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy is coming to stay overnight in her house on Tuesday.
Already this elderly woman representing the gram panchayat constituency of Navalli has with the help of her five sons made preparations to receive the head of the Government.
She has the inner walls of her house painted. Recently, a bathroom-cum-toilet was built for the Chief Minister. And on Monday, an electrician was installing a geyser in the bathroom.
Ms. Nadaf is overjoyed. "It's a gift of Allah that the Chief Minister is visiting our house," he said.
By Tuesday evening, all her eight children and 40 grandchildren would be reaching Navalli before the arrival of the Chief Minister.
The menu for the dinner of the Chief Minister is ready. "There will be jowar roti, badanikai (brinjal) and kalu palya and sweet dishes like karigedabu, godi huggi. Along with it will be rice and sambar".
The family has been asked to get the food ready for around 50 people and accordingly they would be making arrangements, she said. But Ms. Nadaf would not restrict herself to the duty of a host.
She told this correspondent that she would use the opportunity to appeal to the Chief Minister to get good roads for her village, a high school, proper drinking water supply and a hospital.
Meanwhile, the villagers of Navalli have prepared a list of demands to be submitted to the Chief Minister during his visit to the village.
