Members of the Mysore District Freedom Fighters' Association were peeved following association president Vedanta Hemmige's diatribe against the BJP at the Mysore Chalo agitation's anniversary here on Sunday. Mr. Hemmige called for ousting the BJP Government and sought the support of other freedom fighters.

But a few senior members of the association said on condition of anonymity that the platform to mark an historic occasion should not have been used to drum up support in favour of any political party.

“I don't think any member will be in a position to take up the cause owing to various reasons,” according to a freedom fighter.
