He will inaugurate Bennethora project on April 27

GULBARGA: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy will dedicate to the nation the much delayed Bennethora Major Irrigation Project on April 27.

During his maiden tour of the district after taking over as Chief Minister, he will participate in various programmes on April 26 and 27.

He will perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the new court complex on the outskirts of Gulbarga on April 26.

Agriculture Marketing Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapur said the Chief Minister, who would arrive here by Karnataka Express on April 26, would hold a two-hour "Janata Darshan" at the Iwan-e-Shahi Government guest house from 8.30 a.m. and would inaugurate the Inspector-General of Police office complex and lay the foundation stone for the 1,000-bed government general hospital in the city.

The Chief Minister, on the same day, would lay the foundation stone for the construction of a compound wall of the proposed Airport on the outskirts of the city near Srinivas Saradgi and inaugurate the commercial complex built by the Karnataka Housing Board on Gulbarga Ring Road and lay the foundation stone for the construction of the extension of the ring road from Gulbarga-Jewargi Road to Afsalpur Road.
