The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday ordered issue of notices to the State and the Union government questioning construction of the elevated stretch of National Highway (NH) near Jakkur aerodrome as part of the upgradation of the national highway till Bengaluru International Airport.

Justice A.S. Bopanna passed the order on the petition filed by Agni Aerosports Limited, which is operating a helicopter training school near Jakkur aerodrome.

The petitioner claimed that the authorities did not consider its objections filed since 2010 that the area came under “no construction zone” while contending that the structure was put up without permission from authorities concerned.
