HASSAN: After the delimitation of Assembly constituencies in Hassan district, the number of voters is 12,02,045. The population of the district is 17,21,669.

Deputy Commissioner Anjum Parvez said in a press release that the final voters’ list was published on March 10 and was available at all taluk offices.

People could file objections regarding deletion or inclusion of names. Helplines had been opened at the offices of the Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioners and all taluk offices. People could approach them if they required any information. The helpline number are: Hassan (08172-250726, 260395 and 268403); Sakleshpur (08173-244003 and 244004); Arsikere (08174-234879); Chennaraypatna (08176-252235); Holenarsipur (08175 273261); Belur (08177-222234); Arkalgud (08175-220246) and Alur (08170-218222).

Following are the details of the Assembly constituencies: Shravanabelagola (number 193, population - 2,37,146, voters - 1,75,522, polling booths - 217); Arsikere (number 194, population - 2,54,146, voters - 1,78,949 and polling boots - 221); Belur (number 195, population - 2,32,653, voters - 1,59,351, polling boots - 201); Hassan (number 196, population - 2,23,559, voters - 1,63,321, polling boots - 2080; Holenarsipur ( number 197, population - 2,48,014, voters - 1,80,511, polling booths -217); Arkalgud (number 198, population - 2,66,197, voters - 1,78,164, polling booths - 229) Sakleshpur (number 199, population - 2,59,954, voters - 1,66,227, polling booths - 229).

There are 17 more polling booths in the district than for the 2004 elections.

Thirteen booths were added to Hassan Assembly constituency, while two were added in Shravanabelagola and one each in Arsikere and Belur.
