A group of 20 bikers from Karnataka and Kerala owning the Harley-Davidson motorcycles left for Panaji on their way to participate in the four-day India Bike Week bash.
The bikers rode into Karwar on Thursday afternoon on their prized two-wheelers. Joju Kottukaran, a participant from Kochi, said Harley-Davidson was an American motorcycle manufacturer and the price of the two-wheeler ranges from Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh. He said the event was the first of its kind in the country. The rally will coincide with the festivities being held across the world to mark the 110th anniversary of Harley-Davidson, he said. He said there were more than 2,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles on Indian roads as of December 2012. He said the events across the world would bring millions of Harley-Davidson riders together. He said that the rally began from Kochi on Wednesday morning.
