: Guru Nanak Dev Public School won the inter-school cricket tournament held here on Monday.

They beat the Kendriya Vidyalaya team by five wickets. The KV team scored 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 30 overs, which Guru Nanak Dev Public School chased down in 24 overs. Sachin of Guru Nanak Dev Public School won the Man of the Match award. Kushal Patil Gadgi, former president of the zilla panchayat, gave away the prizes.

Sidramayya Swamy, district unit president of the Karnataka Union of Working Journalists; H.S. Bharashetty, Assistant Director of the Department of Youth Services and Sports; Amjad Ali, school principal; and Vasant Kulkarni were present.
