BANGALORE: With Navaratri festival round the corner, Gujarat beckons the avid traveller to experience the famed Garba dance. The traditional dance form of the State, performed by revellers throughout the festival, attracts tourists from far and wide.

Not only is the dance cynosure of all eyes, but it is a dream run for foodies with some of the most scrumptious Gujarati fare dished out during the festivities.

“This year, the Navaratiri festival will be held at about 40,000 locations throughout the State and travellers can make the most of it,” Kamlesh Patel, chairman, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd. (TCGL), told presspersons on Saturday.

Solar energy would be used to electrify Garba venues, he added.
