The ongoing movement against corruption received another shot in the arm here with the formation of ‘Dharwad Against Corruption', comprising different organisations, individuals, professionals and others here on Tuesday.

At a meeting of different organisations that have been involved in the ongoing movement, it was decided that a common platform would be organised to carry on the movement in a well-organised manner. More than 15 organisations, including the Gandhi Peace Foundation, Bharat Swabhiman Trust, Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kannada Rakshana Vedike, Kriyasheela Geleyaru and others have supported the move.

At the meeting, an action committee consisting of Sanjeev Kulkarni, Basavaprabhu Hoskeri, Shankar Halagatti, Mukund Maigur and Linnet was appointed. Dr. Kulkarni said the new forum would provide a common platform to organise protests and rallies in support of the anti-corruption movement.

The forum would organise a protest rally on Friday, which would be flagged off at the Kadapa Maidan grounds.The forum has appealed to organisations, and individuals to take part in the forum.
