Grain merchants of the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) at Bandipalya and from Santhepet have extended their support to the Mysore Lorry Owners' Union, which is backing the ongoing lorry strike. As a result, business at the APMC market yard and at Santhepet market was hit on Tuesday.

Members of the union and the Grain Merchants' Association staged a demonstration at the APMC yard.

Union president Kodandaram said lorries had transported fertilizer stocks on Tuesday, following a request from the Agriculture and Transport departments.
