Coalition Government lacks experienced leaders: H. Vishwanath

MYSORE: Former Minister and Congress leader H. Vishwanath on Saturday attributed the violence in Bangalore following the demise of the Kannada cine actor Rajkumar to the inexperience of the ruling coalition Government. Addressing a press conference, Mr. Vishwanath said that had the coalition Government consisted of experienced administrators and leaders, this unfortunate incident could have been averted.

This calls for the immediate appointment of an experienced leader as Home Minister, he added.

"H.D. Kumaraswamy has kept the portfolio of the Home Minister, but he should immediately identify a senior leader with the administrative capacity and hand over the mantle to him," Mr. Vishwanath said.

Holding the Government responsible for the death of eight persons in the violence that rocked Bangalore on Thursday, Mr. Vishwanath said an administration with experience could have foreseen the events and would have been better prepared.
