BANGALORE: The jobs position may improve during the January to March 2010 quarter, with increased hiring in IT and ITeS sectors, according to the quarterly Employment Outlook report released by staffing solutions company TeamLease Services.
In Bangalore, the employment outlook improved by 14 points and business outlook by 27 points, compared to the previous quarter when the jobs scene looked bleak.
Financial services may lead employment growth here, followed by healthcare services and telecom. A piece of good news for employers was that the attrition rate at 16 per cent the previous quarter, the highest among the 501 companies in major cities surveyed, is likely to drop to 10 per cent in Bangalore. The net employment outlook for the quarter ending March, is projected to go up by one per cent index points to 47 per cent while the business outlook may go up by 10 per cent to 41 per cent over the previous quarter.
Infrastructure is growing the highest at 69 index points, followed by IT at 59 points and the ITeS sector by 31 points.
