DAVANGERE: Union Minister of State for Transport Muniyappa said that works on national highways under the Golden Quadrilateral project would be completed by December this year. Mr. Muniyappa told presspersons on Sunday that agencies involved in the laying of roads under the project would not be given another deadline. Agencies had been asked to complete the works by December. He claimed that 95 per cent of the works were completed and remaining five per cent was held up owing to land disputes.

Mr. Muniyappa and Shyamanur Shivashankarappa, Davangere MLA, expressed their confidence that Congress would win in the elections in all the six Teachers' and Graduates constituencies.
